Most McDonald's are owned by franchise owners. Local to me is a town and one man owns all the McDonald's (about 6) and a couple of them have a gas station. He is a pretty rich man.

If there was a gas stations at every McDonald's it would have almost no affect on the worth of McDonald's, but the individual franchise owners.

It truly depends. If McDonalds decides to put the prices of gas very high (as we see today with many gas stations) people might consider skipping that gas station. Also, McDonalds sells many food products and "gas" but Wal-Mart is such a huge company that they are competing with their rivals "Target," (like Zellers, but even bigger). Because of Target, Wal-Mart will attempt so hard that their revenues could go up alot. Bottomline, it is possible but Wal-Mart is still very big and will continue to grow because of the rivalry.
