I'm doing a research project about people's coffee usage and I'd be greatful if you complete the following quick survey.

1) Why do you drink coffee?

2) How does drinking coffee make you feel?

3) When do you drink coffee?

4) How does coffee fit into your day? Do you schedule/alter your day to accommodate a cup of coffee? Tell me how.

5) Do you distinguish between coffee and cappuccino/latte? How are they different in your eyes?

6) If McDonald's offered capuccino/lattes, would you try it? Why or Why not?

7) What is your general perception of your favorite coffee retailer (ie: Starbucks, McDonald's, Peets, Coffee Bean)?

1) I like the taste and the caffeine helps me start my day.

2) Happy, I guess. Makes me feel a little more ready for my day and a bit energized.

3) Usually, just in the morning, but there are days where I like to meet up with friends for some evening coffee.

4) I have a really difficult time waking up and feeling ready for work if I don't have coffee in the morning. This means making sure I wake up early enough to prepare my coffee and drinking some before pouring the rest into my travel mug to head out.

5) I definitely do. Capuccinos and lattes have milk in them, though some people do drink coffee with milk. I feel like you don't really like coffee if you're drinking it with a bunch of milk or cream in it. You can't taste the coffee that way.

6) I doubt it. When I am in the mood for one of those, I'm certainly not going to rely on a fast food chain to provide a good cup of it.

7) I make my own coffee, and the coffee beans I buy either come from a brand called Cameron's or from Dunn Brother's. They're both relatively in my price range, which is a big reason for buying from them. I also think they are companies that put quality and morality at the highest priorities when making and selling their coffee.

2) How does drinking coffee make you feel?-It wakes me up and I like the taste.

3) When do you drink coffee?-Morning time only!

4) How does coffee fit into your day?-Morning time right after waking up. Do you schedule/alter your day to accommodate a cup of coffee? Tell me how.-No

5) Do you distinguish between coffee and cappuccino/latte? How are they different in your eyes?-I like plain old coffee and think those coffee "drinks" are just a marketing gimmick to charge people more.

6) If McDonald's offered capuccino/lattes, would you try it? Why or Why not?-They actually do and I hate McDonalds so I never go there. That is the worst of the worst. A rubbish restaurant selling rubbish drinks. lol A long time ago I used to drink McDonalds REGULAR coffee which was very strong.

7) What is your general perception of your favorite coffee retailer (ie: Starbucks, McDonald's, Peets, Coffee Bean)?-I never go to those places as they are not worth the money. I get a good coffee from the store and make it nice and strong at home.

1. I like the taste, and it's free at work, so it's convenient. I also drink coffee as a social activity. Sometimes I'll grab a cup of coffee if I have some time to burn (early for an appointment, for example).

2. I don't associate emotions with coffee-drinking. Hot coffee makes me feel warm, iced coffee makes me feel cool, but i have no "feelings" for or about coffee.

3. Usually one cup around 9:00 a.m., and sometimes another around 3:00. If I'm out for a fancy dinner, I may have a cup of coffee at the end instead of dessert.

4. Coffee is incidental. I would never re-arrange my schedule to accommodate coffee.

5. I've never had cappuccino. I occasionally have a latte, but I think of it as only a fancy type of coffee, not as something different.

6. Sure. It doesn't matter who makes it. I'd be even more likely to buy it at a place like McDonald's if the price were cheaper than a high-end coffee shop.

7. I don't have a favorite coffee retailer. I get coffee in various kinds of places as I feel the desire for it. I think this over-devotion to high-end retailers is more than a little silly.

1. I drink coffee when I know I'll be needing extra energy.

2. Drinking coffee makes me feel naturally hyperactive/social/smarter. I actually think more, and faster when caffienated.

3. I drink coffee from a paper cup, I try to keep it near me at work and it takes me several hours to drink half because I'm busy.

4. Coffee doesn't really fit, I have to make it fit. I don't have to alter my schedule, I just have to remember to cart it around with me all over the kitchen where I work.

5. I drink lattes. Cappuccino is way too strong for little ol' Annie and normal drip coffee would be fine if I had a flavored creamer to cover up the watery taste.

6. McDonald's already does. No, I do not drink them. Not as good, too many people in line in the morning, and too tempting to buy an Egg McMuffin.

7. My favorite retailer is Starbucks, and I generally think they have excellent quality, very good consistency, decent service (soooo busy!) and average pricing. I like the atmosphere there when it's not too busy and feel like I can travel anywhere and order my favorite drink, no problems. What's lacking is the homeyness of the little stands, where they learn your name and your drink and ask you work's been doing lately. I miss that.

1. I like the taste. Its comforting like hot cocoa. To wake up in the AM/whenever.

2. Sometimes no change in feeling but more psychological relief lol and more alert.

3. Mostly a cup in the morning. Sometimes as a refresher later in the day, too.

4. I don't alter my schedule for coffee however I may drive several blocks out of my way to go to a Dunkin.

5. Coffee is a staple. Capp's and latte's are frilly versions to me. I like them, but they are like the equivalent of trying to dunk your cookies in a milkshake instead of milk.

6. Not really. I'd stick to what they do better...fast food, and leave the lattes to people that specialize in coffee.

7. My favorite is Dunkin Donuts and has been for at least 6 years. The flavor is consistent...it doesn't change with the times. I've rarely...maybe 2 times in all these years...had an old tasting cup. The flavor is full bodied yet never bitter or too strong. They're generally quick and curteous and the prices are reasonable.

Love it, normal, in the morning - occasionally during the day, I have my normal two cups in the normal and then once in while in the afternoon. Cappucino is a stronger version of coffee - love that too, no - especially if it's anything like their coffee, I drink dunkin donuts - like it lots
