I'm not too worried about the cost of the machine itself... more the complexity of the machine. :) I'm pretty tech savy, but I've heard that the cappuccino machines are a pain to work. Thx!

A manual machine is great and well worth it. Stay away from fully automatic machines, too much to go wrong.
A burr grinder and fresh coffee beans are worth their weight in gold.
Worth considering is the aeropress ( see link )

Once you know what your doing its really easy, but buy an espresso machine w/ a milk frother, not a fully automatic Cappuccino machine, that way you can make anything you want and adjust the amounts of espresso, milk, and foam. Also you need a high quality grinder if you want it to taste good look to spend about $150 on a grinder and $300 on an espresso machine. Otherwise id just buy from your local espresso shop.

I have been given a Tassimo ($169) for Christmas and that i like it! It makes the superb cappuccino i've got ever had. the best element approximately it however is that it additionally makes popular coffee, coffee, tea, warm chocolate, and prompt warm water. It demands particular pods (they call them "T-disks") like alot of alternative machines, yet while in comparison with going to Starbucks, that is extremely worth it. Linens and issues and mattress, tub and previous the two carry it and the disks.
