Hi, I've always and will always love my Starbucks but lately I've been looking at the Dunkin Donuts shop. I like my coffee a little bold, that's why I love starbucks. I want to taste the coffee, I don't like it when it's all sugar and cream and you can't even taste the coffee. Is Dunkin Donuts coffee good? I never even had their coffee. I was looking at the pumpkin spice coffee, the ground one and the one in the shop. Help? I'm confused?

Dunkin Donuts is primarily Arabica with a Robusta measure blended for higher caffeine and stronger flavor. Translation: Normal coffee found in almost all grocery stores and common blends. The flavor profile comes from using coffees selected from choice estates and varietals for the blend.

Starbucks coffees are primarily selected from Indonesian and Southeast Asian Arabica and Robusta beans roasted and blended for their flavor profile.

Dunkin' Donuts is a donut shop that sells coffee and other things.

Starbucks is a coffee shop that sells pastries and other things.

As an East Coaster, Denis Leary's feelings on coffee suit me just fine, which means I prefer patronizing local establishments but I will go into a Dunkin' Donuts before a Starbucks, even if I do have to dodge flying soup.

First of all, Starbucks is built and designed to focus on the coffee it sells. Dunkin is much less focused on the coffee and more on the other stuff. The big difference is how they prepare their coffee. Starbucks uses a spout/nozzle to keep their brews hot without burning. Dunkin coffee uses normal pots, which causes burnage. The taste difference is very noticeable.

Then again, if you are planning on brewing your coffee at home, you could always take a look at other brands. For example, I am founder of a coffee company that sells bold gourmet roasted beans and uses the profits to help wounded veterans. You should give us a try. :)

Starbucks is like a library where you get different types of coffees. Dunkin Donuts have limited variety in coffee. You can give it a try, though.

I prefer Starbucks because you choose some ingredients, and Dunkin Donuts it's just an ordinary coffee to me.

The pumpkin spice will probably be good. Starbucks is definitely a richer more full body brand though. Dunkin is cheaper tho. Starbucks pumpkin spice coffee will probably be stronger tho.
