Yes, my Mother in Law has two portable machines, equiped with the steamers and the works. If you are interested, email me.

Krups Novo 2000 Plus ($200) Briel Estoril ES-33 ($150) Estro 410 ($189) La Pavoni Espresso Si PA-16 ($160) All top rated low-end espresso machines from America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Illustrated. The Breville Die Cast 800ESXL Espresso Machine is supposed to be good at $400. I have not used this machine. Don't forget to ration yourself $50-100 for a burr grinder. You won't be disappointed. (i know you can buy pre-ground, but it's better if you grind just prior to extraction)

if you are looking to make straight espresso on a budget, I suggest a stovetop moka pot. they start around $20 and go up from there. I have a bialetti 3 cup pot and I love it! any pump machines that cheap are not worth the $$. if you want a decent pump machine you have to spend considerably more. at least a few hundred. good luck!
